Sorry Guys!

1 min read
Sorry for not responding to notes and questions on this site. I actually haven't visited DA in a long time. With so much work and so many places I go online already, I find that I have less time to post here. If you really wish to get in touch, just email me at gerryalanguilan@yahoo.com. I should be able to respond within 24 hours.

If you're having difficulty finding ELMER and "Where Bold Stars Go To Die", or if you're abroad, you can just order copies directly from me.

Just send an email to gerryalanguilan@yahoo.com with the subject : ELMER

Philippine based buyers will send payment via bank deposit, while those from abroad pays through PAYPAL.  More details on how to do this transaction via email.

Thanks!

Actually, ELMER should now be available at the local bookstores like NBS, Powerbooks and Fully Booked. At least, the distributor should already have distributed them there. Bold Stars was never made available to the bookstores, just the comics stores. But unfortunately (or fortunately), they run out faster than I can restock them.

If you like to wait and buy them from me in person, I'll be at the following events:

KOMIKSTRIP, UPLB
February 13, 2010

RENAISSANCE, Megatrade Hall, Megamall
February 21, 2010

SUMMER KOMIKON
April 17, 2010

Hopefully Bold Star artist Arlan Esmeña can be there at those events as well.

We'll be launching TWO new books at Komikon. One is the Elmer Collected Edition, collecting all 4 issues of the series. The 2nd is "Where Bold Stars Go To Die", written by me and illustrated by Arlan Esmeña, including a host of pinups from some of the best: Francisco V. Coching, Tony De Zuniga, Brice Beckham, Leinil Francis Yu, Carlo Vergara, Carlo Pagulayan, Arnold Arre, Gilbert Monsanto, Philip Tan, and Edgar Tadeo.

Over at Jonas Diego's Robo Monkey Pixel Fighters' table is the launching of Komikero Comics #3,an anthology of comics stories by members of the Komikero Artists Group. It features my 8-page "Timawa: Jumper" story for the first time in print.

Over at Vibal Foundation's table is the launching of Francisco V. Coching's EL INDIO, a collection of Coching's classic komiks-novel from the early 50's digitally restored and collected for the first time. The digital restoration was done by myself and Zara Macandili.

SUMMIT will also be launching "UNDERPASS" a full color comics anthology featuring the work of Budjette Tan, Kajo Baldisimo, Oliver Pulumbarit, Ian Sta. Maria, David Hontiveros, Carlo Vergara and myself.

I'll also be putting up for auction a rare handcrafted ELMER Hardcover Slipcase, to benefit flood victims. Other items for auction include a signed Leinil Yu sketchbook.

The Komikero Publishing table will be near the entrance, to the right. Arlan Esmeña and I will be at the table to sign starting 11am.
